Moonhill Rise - Best healthy homes development
Designed to benefit our residents’ health and wellbeing, our Moonhill Rise development in Exeter was the first built to our Homes and Place Standard, a framework which enables us to deliver homes that exceed national space standards, promote natural light, reduce energy bills and promote meaningful community relationships.
What's more, the site was 100% affordable, with each of the two, three and four bedroom houses available through Shared Ownership or social rent, ensuring these excellent homes were accessible to all.
Best partnership - SNG, Verto Homes & Octopus Energy at Nexa Fields
Working in partnership with Verto Homes and Octopus Energy, we have delivered a collection of smart homes which produce zero carbon emissions at Nexa Fields in Exeter. Built to maximise renewable technologies including air source heat pumps, solar panels, home batteries which store solar energy, and super-insulted walls these homes scored an extraordinary energy performance rating of 129 (92+ is required for an A).
This exceptional energy efficiency, paired with Octopus Energy's Kraken tech platform, allow the homes to balance their energy use - automatically drawing from the grid and feeding energy back in as needed. The final result was a collection of homes that are free from energy bills for at least 5 years, helping our residents to live comfortably and carbon free.
